Located on the shores of lake Taupo, the Taupo Golf Club opened the Tauhara in 1928 as a 9-hole course which was extended to 18 holes in 1954. Centennial the second course designed by two-time NZ PGA Championship winner Ernie Southerden was opened in 1973. Taupo Golf Club is the only golf club in NZ offering two very different golfing experiences.
Centennial – a championship length course at 6,369 metres is a classic NZ inland course set in park like surroundings providing several challenging holes with greens well protected by strategically placed bunkers. It has one of the most intimidating finishing holes in the country.
Tauhara - at 5,645 metres is a shorter course reflecting Taupo’s volcanic park like surroundings and is ideally suited to social, corporate, and Junior golf.
